Joining our Yale campus on casual, hourly paid basis, the Lecturer in Music will be responsible for performing scheduled teaching, preparing learning materials for the vocational Music curriculum. You will also mark students work, liaising with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required.
In your role as personal tutor, you will also be providing invaluable educational support and guidance for students and liaise with parents as necessary. You must complete and produce agreed documentation such as attendance reports, schemes of work, course review, course analysis and student reports.
The successful candidate will hold a Level 5 qualification in the relevant subject area and ideally possess a teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, PGCE or C&G 7407. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments, and should have knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these within a learning environment.
In addition, it is essential that you are proficient in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, and are able to navigate the Internet and Intranets. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be a strong team player and will display energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment.
The ability to speak fluent Welsh is desirable.
