The Lecturer in Finance will join our commercial Leadership & Management team at Northop campus on a casual hourly basis and perform scheduled teaching of Finance and Economics and exam invigilation, prepare learning materials, mark students’ work and liaise with awarding organisations as required.

You will act as a personal tutor and provide educational guidance, support for students and liaise with tutors from other areas of the college to plan resources, develop the curriculum and monitor student progress.

You will need to complete and produce documentation such as registers, schemes of work, records of work, course review, course analysis documentation. You will assist with marketing, planning, assessment and evaluation of course provision and be involved in the recruitment and interviewing of students when required.

You should be qualified to at least Level 7 in a relevant specialist subject area and possess a teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, PGCE or City & Guilds 7407. Able to demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area, you will have knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment.

A self-confident individual who displays energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment, you will be a strong team player who can establish effective working relationships and be open and responsive to the needs of others. Creative, innovative and imaginative, you will be able to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques and assess the outcomes of learning and learner achievements.

Identifying, interpreting and applying specific knowledge to practice, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of recognising and making students aware of their strengths and development needs.

The ability to speak fluent Welsh is highly desirable.
